English translation
2987. Narrated 'Urwa on the authority of Usāma bin Zaid رضي الله عنهما: Allāh's Messenger ﷺ rode a donkey, on which there was a saddle covered by a velvet sheet, and let 'Umar ride behind him (on the donkey).

2987 - حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَفْوَانَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «رَكِبَ عَلَى حِمَارٍ عَلَى إِكَافٍ عَلَيْهِ قَطِيفَةٌ، وَأَرْدَفَ أُسَامَةَ وَرَاءَهُ»
