3428. Narrated 'Abdullāh رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: When the Verse: "...Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allāh and worship none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong)..." (V.6:82), was revealed, the companions of the Prophet ﷺ said, "Who amongst us has not confused his belief with Zulm (wrong)?" Then Allāh revealed: “...Join not in worship others with Allāh, Verily! Joining others in worship with Allāh is a great Zulm (wrong) indeed.” (V.31:13)
3428 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: " لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ {الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوا إِيمَانَهُمْ بِظُلْمٍ} [الأنعام: 82] قَالَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَيُّنَا لَمْ يَلْبِسْ إِيمَانَهُ بِظُلْمٍ؟ فَنَزَلَتْ {لاَ تُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّ الشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ} [لقمان: 13] "
