Text and translation

English translation

350. Narrated 'Āishah رضي الله عنها Mother of believers: Allāh enjoined As-Salāt (the prayer) when He enjoined it, it was two Rak'ā only (in every Ṣalāt) both when in residence or during a journey. Then the Ṣalāt offered during a journey remained the same, but (the Rak'ā of) Ṣalāt for non-travellers were increased.
