3525. Narrated Ibn 'Abbās رضي الله عنهما: When the Verse: "And warn your tribe (O Muḥammad ﷺ) of near kindred" (V.26:214) was revealed, the Prophet ﷺ started calling (the Arab (1) (Ch. 13) Khalīl: See glossary. tribes), "O Bani Fihr, O Bani 'Adi," (mentioning first) the various branch-tribes of Quraish.
٣٥٢٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ﵄ قَالَ «لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ ﴿وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ﴾ جَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُنَادِي يَا بَنِي فِهْرٍ يَا بَنِي عَدِيٍّ بِبُطُونِ قُرَيْشٍ.»
