Text and translation

English translation

375. Narrated 'Uqba bin 'Āmir رضي الله عنه: The Prophet ﷺ was given a silken Farrūj as a present. He wore it while offering Ṣalāt. When he had finished his Ṣalāt (prayer), he took it off violently as if with a strong aversion to it and said, "It is not the dress of Al-Muttaqūn: [Al-Muttaqūn means those pious and righteous persons who fear Allāh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allāh much (do all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].
