3809. Narrated Anas bin Mālik رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: The Prophet ﷺ said to Ubāi, "Allāh has ordered me to recite to you: 'Those who disbelieve' (Sūrat Al-Baiyinah, No. 98)." Ubāi said, "Has He mentioned my name?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Yes." (On hearing that, Ubāi started weeping).
3809 - حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ، سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأُبَيٍّ: " إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقْرَأَ عَلَيْكَ {لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ} [البينة: 1] قَالَ: وَسَمَّانِي؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» فَبَكَى بَابُ مَنَاقِبِ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
