English translation

3823. (In another narration) Jarīr bin 'Abdullāh narrated: There was a house called Dhul-Khalāṣa(1) in the pre-Islāmic period and it was also called Al-Ka'ba Al-Yamāniya or Al-Ka'ba Ash-Shāmīya. Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said to me, "Will you relieve me from Dhul-Khalāṣa?" So I left for it with 150 cavalry men from the tribe of Aḥmas and then we destroyed it and killed whoever we found there. Then we came to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him about it. He invoked good upon us and upon the tribe of Aḥmas.

3823 - وَعَنْ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ فِي الجَاهِلِيَّةِ بَيْتٌ، يُقَالُ لَهُ ذُو الخَلَصَةِ وَكَانَ يُقَالُ لَهُ: الكَعْبَةُ اليَمَانِيَةُ أَوِ الكَعْبَةُ الشَّأْمِيَّةُ، فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «هَلْ أَنْتَ مُرِيحِي مِنْ ذِي الخَلَصَةِ» قَالَ: فَنَفَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ فِي خَمْسِينَ وَمِائَةِ فَارِسٍ مِنْ أَحْمَسَ، قَالَ: فَكَسَرْنَا، وَقَتَلْنَا مَنْ وَجَدْنَا عِنْدَهُ، فَأَتَيْنَاهُ فَأَخْبَرْنَاهُ، فَدَعَا لَنَا وَلِأَحْمَسَ
