English translation

3870. Narrated 'Abdullāh bin 'Abbās رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا: During the lifetime of Allāh's Messenger ﷺ the moon was split (into two pieces).

3870 - حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا: «أَنَّ القَمَرَ انْشَقَّ عَلَى زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
