4070. Sālim bin 'Abdullāh said, "Allāh's Messenger ﷺ used to invoke evil upon Safwān bin Umaiyya, Suhail bin 'Amr and Al-Ḥārith bin Hishām. So the Verse was revealed :- 'Not for you (O Muḥammad ﷺ!) is the decision... (till the end of Verse)... they are indeed Zalimūn (polytheists, disobedients and wrong-doers)." (V.3 :128)
4070 - وَعَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَدْعُو عَلَى صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، وَسُهَيْلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، وَالحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ فَنَزَلَتْ {لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ} [آل عمران: 128]- إِلَى قَوْلِهِ - {فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ} [آل عمران: 128]
