4348. Narrated 'Amr bin Maimūn: WhenMu'ādḥ رضي الله عنه arrived at Yemen, he ledthem (i.e., the people of Yemen) in the Fajrprayer and recited: "And Allāh did takeIbrāhīm (Abraham) as a Khalīl (an intimatefriend)." (V. 4.:125). A man behind himsaid, "(How) glad the mother of Ibrāhīm is!"
4348 - حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، أَنَّ مُعَاذًا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، لَمَّا قَدِمَ اليَمَنَ، صَلَّى بِهِمُ الصُّبْحَ، فَقَرَأَ: " {وَاتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلًا} [النساء: 125] فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ القَوْمِ: لَقَدْ قَرَّتْ عَيْنُ أُمِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ " زَادَ مُعَاذٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ مُعَاذًا إِلَى اليَمَنِ، فَقَرَأَ مُعَاذٌ فِي صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ سُورَةَ النِّسَاءِ، فَلَمَّا قَالَ: {وَاتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلًا} [النساء: 125] قَالَ رَجُلٌ خَلْفَهُ: قَرَّتْ عَيْنُ أُمِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
