English translation

4494. Narrated Ibn 'Umar: رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا: While some people were offering the morning prayer at Qubā' someone came to them and said, "Some Qur'anic Verses have been revealed to Allāh's Messenger ﷺ tonight, and he has been ordered to face the Ka'bah (at Makkah) so you, too, should turn your faces towards it." Their faces were then towards Sham (Jerusalem), so they turned towards the Qiblah (i.e., Ka'bah at Makkah).
