4632. Narrated Mujāhid that he asked Ibn 'Abbās, "Is there a prostration in Sūrat Šād?" (V.38:24).(1) Ibn 'Abbās said, "Yes," and then recited: "We bestowed... (up to) So, follow theirguidance..." (V.6:84,90) Then he said, "He [Dawūd (David)] isone of them (i.e., those Prophets)." Mujāhidnarrated: I asked Ibn 'Abbās (regarding theabove Verse). He said, "Your Prophet(Muḥammad ﷺ) was one of those whowere ordered to follow them". [For details see Faṭh Al-Bārī]
4632 - حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ، أَنَّ ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَهُمْ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ الأَحْوَلُ، أَنَّ مُجَاهِدًا أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ: أَفِي ص سَجْدَةٌ؟ فَقَالَ: «نَعَمْ»، ثُمَّ تَلاَ: {وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ} [الأنعام: 84] إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {فَبِهُدَاهُمُ اقْتَدِهْ} [الأنعام: 90]، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «هُوَ مِنْهُمْ»، زَادَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، وَسَهْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنِ العَوَّامِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فَقَالَ: «نَبِيُّكُمْ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِمَّنْ أُمِرَ أَنْ يَقْتَدِيَ بِهِمْ»
