English translation

4706. Narrated Ibn 'Abbās رضي الله عنهما concerning: "As We have sent down on the dividers (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians)." (V. 15:90) They believed in one part of it and disbelieved in the other, (and they) are the Jews and the Christians.

Arabic text

٤٧٠٦ - حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - ﵄: «﴿كَمَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَى الْمُقْتَسِمِينَ﴾ قَالَ: آمَنُوا بِبَعْضٍ وَكَفَرُوا بِبَعْضٍ، الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى».
