English translation

5143. Narrated Abū Hurairah رضي الله عنه: The Prophet ﷺ said, "Beware of suspicion, as suspicion is the worst of false talk, and do not do spying on one another, and do not look for others faults and listen to the evil talk of the people about others' affairs, and do not hate one another, but be brothers." (See H. 6064 and 6066)

5143 - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: يَأْثُرُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ، فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الحَدِيثِ، وَلاَ تَجَسَّسُوا، وَلاَ تَحَسَّسُوا، وَلاَ تَبَاغَضُوا، وَكُونُوا إِخْوَانًا،
