“And their husbands have the better right to take them (divorced ladies) back,” (V.2:228) during the period of the Idda. And how will a person retain his wife he has divorced once or twice?

5330. Narrated Al-Hasan: Ma'quil gave his sister in marriage and later her husband divorced her once.

Arabic text

5330 - حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الحَسَنِ، قَالَ: «زَوَّجَ مَعْقِلٌ أُخْتَهُ فَطَلَّقَهَا تَطْلِيقَةً»
