5524. Narrated Jābir bin 'Abdullāh رضي الله عنه: The Prophet ﷺ prohibited the eating of donkey's meat on the day of the battle of Khaibar, and allowed the eating of horse flesh.
Hadith 5524
(It is unlawful to eat) the meat of donkeys.

5524 - حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: «نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ عَنْ لُحُومِ الحُمُرِ، وَرَخَّصَ فِي لُحُومِ الخَيْلِ»
