5793. Narrated 'Ali رضي الله عنه: The Prophet ﷺ asked for his Ridā', put it on and set out walking. Zaid bin Hārītha and I followed him till he reached the house, where Ḥamza (bin 'Abdul-Muṭṭalib) was (1) (Chap. 7) Ar-Ridā' is a garment that covers the shoulders and the upper-half of the body. present and asked for permission to enter, and they gave us permission.
5793 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، أَنَّ حُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ، أَخْبَرَهُ: أَنَّ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: «فَدَعَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرِدَائِهِ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ يَمْشِي، وَاتَّبَعْتُهُ أَنَا وَزَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ، حَتَّى جَاءَ البَيْتَ الَّذِي فِيهِ حَمْزَةُ، فَاسْتَأْذَنَ فَأَذِنُوا لَهُمْ»
