5837. Narrated Hudhaifa': رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: TheProphet ﷺ forbade us to drink out of goldand silver vessels, or eat in it, and alsoforbade the wearing of silk and Dībāj orsitting on it.

5837 - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: «نَهَانَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَشْرَبَ فِي آنِيَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَالفِضَّةِ، وَأَنْ نَأْكُلَ فِيهَا، وَعَنْ لُبْسِ الحَرِيرِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ، وَأَنْ نَجْلِسَ عَلَيْهِ»
