English translation

5838. Narrated Ibn 'Āzib: The Prophet ﷺ forbade us to use the red Mayāthir and to use Al-Qassiy.

Arabic text

5838 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ، عَنِ البَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ: «نَهَانَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ المَيَاثِرِ الحُمْرِ وَالقَسِّيِّ»
