English translation

6153. Narrated Al-Barā': رضي الله عنه' The Prophet ﷺ said to Hassān, "Lampoon them (Al-Mushrikūn — the pagans etc.) in your poetry, and Jibrīl (Gabriel) is with you."

Arabic text

6153 - حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ البَرَاءِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِحَسَّانَ: " اهْجُهُمْ - أَوْ قَالَ: هَاجِهِمْ - وَجِبْرِيلُ مَعَكَ "
