842. Narrated Ibn 'Abbās رضي الله عنهما: I used to recognise the completion of As-Salāt (the prayer) of the Prophet ﷺ by hearing Takbīr.

842 - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مَعْبَدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: «كُنْتُ أَعْرِفُ انْقِضَاءَ صَلاَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ» قَالَ عَلِيٌّ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: كَانَ أَبُو مَعْبَدٍ أَصْدَقَ مَوَالِي ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ عَلِيٌّ: وَاسْمُهُ نَافِذٌ
