986. Narrated Jābir (bin 'Abdullāh) رضي الله عنه: On the day of 'Eid the Prophet ﷺ used to return (after offering the 'Eid prayer) through a way different from that by which he went.

986 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ هُوَ ابْنُ سَلاَمٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو تُمَيْلَةَ يَحْيَى بْنُ وَاضِحٍ، عَنْ فُلَيْحِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الحَارِثِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ عِيدٍ خَالَفَ الطَّرِيقَ» تَابَعَهُ يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ فُلَيْحٍ، وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ: عَنْ فُلَيْحٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَحَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ أَصَحُّ
