English translation

1289. It was narrated that Jâbir said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ went out on the Day of Al-Fitr or Al-Adha, and delivered a sermon standing up. Then he sat down briefly, then stood up again." (Da'if)

Arabic text

1289 - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَحْرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: «خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ فِطْرٍ أَوْ أَضْحَى، فَخَطَبَ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ قَعَدَ قَعْدَةً ثُمَّ قَامَ»
