English translation

1381. Mu'âdhah Al-'Adawiyyah said: "I asked 'Aishah: 'Did the Prophet ﷺ pray Duha?' She said: 'Yes; four (Rak'ah) and he would add whatever Allâh willed.'" (Sahih)

Arabic text

1381 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرِّشْكِ، عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ الْعَدَوِيَّةِ، قَالَتْ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ: " أَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى؟ قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، أَرْبَعًا، وَيَزِيدُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ "

Commentary

This shows that not only Umm Hânî ﷺ, but 'Aishah ﷺ as well, had seen the Prophet ﷺ pray the Duha prayer. As for the rule of Islamic law, it can be proven even from the report of a single Companion.
