English translation

1613. It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbâs that the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: Dying in a strange land is martyrdom." (Da'if)

Arabic text

1613 - حَدَّثَنَا جَمِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ الْهُذَيْلُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَوْتُ غُرْبَةٍ شَهَادَةٌ»
