English translation

1616. It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Breaking the bones of the deceased is like breaking his bones when he is alive." (Hasan)

Arabic text

1616 - حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كَسْرُ عَظْمِ الْمَيِّتِ كَكَسْرِهِ حَيًّا»
