English translation
1633. It was narrated that Ubayy bin Ka'b said: "We were with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and we all had a single focus, but when he passed away we started to look here and there (i.e., have different interests)." (Da'if)

1633 - حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ الْعِجْلِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، قَالَ: «كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَإِنَّمَا وَجْهُنَا وَاحِدٌ، فَلَمَّا قُبِضَ نَظَرْنَا هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا»

Commentary
Being attentive to one side in the life of Allāh's Messenger ﷺ means the presence of consensus, unity and straightness, and another meaning of it is to focus on the matters of Hereafter. Looking here and there means disunity in thoughts and in practice, or comparison between the worldly benefits and that of the Hereafter.
