English translation

2125. It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "There is no vow to commit disobedience, and the expiation (for such a vow) is the expiation for breaking an oath." (Sahih)

Arabic text

2125 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ الْمِصْرِيُّ أَبُو طَاهِرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «لَا نَذْرَ فِي مَعْصِيَةٍ، وَكَفَّارَتُهُ كَفَّارَةُ يَمِينٍ»
