English translation

2584. It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: "The Prophet ﷺ cut off (the hand of a thief) for a shield worth three Dirham." (Sahih)

Arabic text

2584 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: «قَطَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مِجَنٍّ قِيمَتُهُ ثَلَاثَةُ دَرَاهِمَ»
