English translation

2586. It was narrated from 'Āmir bin Sa'd, from his father, that the Prophet ﷺ said: "The hand of the thief is to be cut off for the price of a shield." (Hasan)

Arabic text

2586 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي ثَمَنِ الْمِجَنِّ»
