Commentary

a. Using weapons or defensive measures is not contrary to relying upon Allâh. b. Makkah is Harâm, where war and fighting is forbidden. But Allâh granted His special permission to His Prophet ﷺ for the purpose of Jihâd, on the day of the conquest of Makkah. This prohibition became effective again after Makkah was conquered.
