Participating in Jihād or fighting is not obligatory on a woman. The importance of Hajj and 'Umrah for women is as the importance of Jihād for men. Hajj and 'Umrah is deemed as Jihād for women since the hardship of the journey is endured, the money is spent, and many other ordeals are tolerated in this regard.
