English translation
3161. It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet ﷺ used to slaughter at the prayer place (of the 'Eid congregation). (Hasan)

3161 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ «كَانَ» يَذْبَحُ بِالْمُصَلَّى "

Commentary
The reason of slaughtering at the prayer place is that rich and poor as well as all types of people are gathered there, so distributing meat becomes easy. Nevertheless, slaughtering at the prayer place is not compulsory, and it may be slaughtered at another location. In the Name of Allāh, the MostBeneficent, the Most Merciful
