Commentary

a. Jallalah refers to an animal that regularly eats impurity to the extent that it affects its milk and meat. b. Some scholars are of the opinion that if the Jallalah animal is kept tied and is given clean food to eat till the effects of impurity vanish, then it becomes pure and no longer called Jallālah. If this is the case, it becomes permissible to eat its meat and drink its milk.
