English translation

3418. It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ forbade tipping up water skins in order to drink from their mouths." (Sahih)

Arabic text

3418 - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنِ اخْتِنَاثِ الْأَسْقِيَةِ: أَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهَا "
