English translation

3501. It was narrated from 'Ali that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "The best remedy is the Qur'an." (Da'if)

3501 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْكِنْدِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعَّادُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُ الدَّوَاءِ الْقُرْآنُ»

Commentary

The best way of treating by the Qur'an is reciting Qur'anic Verses or supplications and blowing them upon a patient. As Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri ﷺ recited the chapter of Al-Fatihah and blew upon the person who was bitten by a snake. When the Prophet ﷺ was asked about it, he approved of his action. (Sahih Al-Bukhārī: 5736) Recitation of the Qur'an and its understanding is a treatment for many spiritual diseases.
