English translation

3566. It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbâs that the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: "The best of your garments are the white ones, so wear them and shroud your dead in them." (Hasan)

Arabic text

3566 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ الْمَكِّيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضُ فَالْبَسُوهَا، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ»
