English translation
3569. It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Whoever lets his garment drag out of pride, Allāh will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection." (Sahih)

3569 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ الَّذِي يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ، لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

Commentary
Garment drag' means that the garment is so long that it touches the ground or it is dragged on it. Tahband (sheet used as a lower garment), Lungi, Shalwar (kind of loose cover for lower limbs as a trouser), pants, trousers, and the Arabic long shirt, all such garments of men should be above the ankles. The preferable limit of a lower garment is to the middle of one's shin. Purposefully allowing one's garment to exceed the lawful limit is a major sin. Some assume that they do not hang their garment out of pride, this excuse is not acceptable since the Prophet ﷺ said: "Avoid hanging down your lower garment since it is pride, and Allāh does not like pride." (Abu Dāwūd: 4084)
