357. It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'The (following) was revealed about the people of Qubâ': 'In it (the mosque) are men who love to clean and to purify themselves. Commentary

It is reported in Sahih Muslim from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri ﷺ that when he enquired the Prophet ﷺ about the mosque referred to in the Qur'anic Verse, he answered that it was the one known as the Prophet's Mosque (Muslim: 3221). Nevertheless even the Qubâ' Mosque was founded by the Prophet ﷺ himself. As such this one can also be described as the 'mosque founded on piety'.
