English translation

3902. It was narrated from Jābir that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Whoever sees me in a dream has (really) seen me, for Satan cannot appear in my form." (Sahih)

Arabic text

3902 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ، فَقَدْ رَآنِي، إِنَّهُ لَا يَنْبَغِي لِلشَّيْطَانِ أَنْ يَتَمَثَّلَ فِي صُورَتِي»
