Commentary

Informing about future incidents is a miracle of the Prophet ﷺ, and a proof of his prophethood. The purpose of warning against future afflictions is to inform Muslims to take care of their faith. Some sins are considered light by human beings, while they are so dangerous that it takes them out of the fold of Islam. So, no sin should be taken lightly.
