English translation
4046. It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "The Hour will not begin until the Euphrates uncovers a mountain of gold and people fight over it, and out of every ten, nine will be killed." (Da'if)

4046 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَحْسُرَ الْفُرَاتُ عَنْ جَبَلٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَيَقْتَتِلُ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ، فَيُقْتَلُ مِنْ كُلِّ عَشَرَةٍ تِسْعَةٌ»

Commentary
The reason of informing this incident in anticipation is that sensible persons should not crave wealth and should not waste their lives taking part in wars.
