English translation

4258. It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'Frequently remember the destroyer of pleasures,' meaning death." (Hasan)

Arabic text

4258 - حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَ هَادِمِ اللَّذَّاتِ» ، يَعْنِي الْمَوْتَ
