4340. It was narrated from Anas bin Mâlik that the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: "Whoever asks for Paradise, three times, Paradise will say: "O Allâh, admit him to Paradise." And whoever asked to be saved from Hell, three times, Hell will say: "O Allâh, save him from Hell." (Sahih)

Commentary

Supplicating three times is Sunnah. Supplication should always be for entering Paradise and escaping from Hell. Paradise and Hell do not supplicate for anyone without the permission of Allâh. If they supplicate for a person it means that Allâh wants to accept their supplication and enter him in Paradise.
