English translation
587. It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'If anyone of you has intercourse with his wife, then he wants to do it again, let him perform ablution.'" (Sahih)

587 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمْ أَهْلَهُ، ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَعُودَ، فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

Commentary
This ablution is not obligatory but Desirable (Mustahab), since the Prophet ﷺ has himself said that the benefit accruing from the act is that it provides further stimulus or energy. (Sahih Ibn Khuzaimah: 221)
