English translation

639. It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'Whoever has intercourse with a menstruating woman, or with a woman in her rear, or who goes to a fortuneteller and believes what he says, he has disbelieved in that which was revealed to Muhammad.''" (Hasan)

Commentary

a. Allāh has appointed a natural channel for satisfying men's sexual urge with women. It is a channel that would breed offsprings. The anus is not the place for the purpose. It is unnatural to use it the way the inhabitants of Sodom did among whom the Prophet Lut ﷺ was sent as a warner. b. A Kâhin (fortuneteller) is one who claims to know the future of the people. In our part of the world people practising Nujum (astrology), Ramal (foretelling by figures) and Jafar (art of prediction) all belong to the same category which the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ has denounced and warned against.
