Commentary

Forgetfulness and sleep are valid excuses. No sin devolves on account of them, provided that the event is not the result of one's carelessness. A prayer missed out of forgetfulness must be performed as soon as one is reminded of it. Delaying it without a valid reason is not right. Do not deliberately pray at sunrise or sunset. Anyone who remembers his prayer or wakes up at the undesirable time must wait for his prayer till the undesirable time has passed.
