Commentary

a. It is not lawful for a single man to stand behind the Imâm for prayer, but lawful for a single woman. b. It does not matter whether a woman is a Mahram (of a close unmarriageable relationship) or non-Mahram, the rule in this regard is the same. She must not stand by the side of a man.
