Commentary

It is imperative to pray the 'Eid' prayer without the usual Adhân and Iqâmah. It is not allowed to follow the analogy of other prayers and call the Adhân and Iqâmah for the 'Eid' prayer. The reason is that the doing of anything that was possible and convenient to do at the time of the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ, but he chose not to do it, will surely be an act of innovation in later years, however beautiful or pious the act might seem to the naked eye.
