Commentary

a. The ruling is correct. There is a tradition narrated from 'Abdullāh bin 'Umar ﷺ in Sahih Al-Bukhārī (966) to the effect that wearing weapons on the occasion of 'Eid' is forbidden in the Islamic law. b. The interdiction on carrying the weapons is meant to preclude the possibility of unintentional harm to anyone among the assembly of the believers.
